EXERCISE
PHYSIOLOGY
DESCRIPTION
Coaches at
International level are employing the services
and skills of exercise physiologists (plus
psychologists, nutritionists, etc.) in order to
lessen the chances of failure and to ensure
victory.
This course
is designed to give therapists the knowledge
and understanding of how the body
physiologically responds to and adapts through
physical
exercise.
Training
principles will be re-visited and applied to
fitness testing and evaluation. The therapist
will be capable of assessing present
physiological levels and plan appropriate
programs.
Case
study reviews will be used throughout the
course, bringing together a number of
coaching issues such as injury
assessment, diet & nutrition,
competition and
peaking.
