INFANTS & TODDLERS
DESCRIPTION
This 7-lesson course is about growth and development of young children and about developmentally
appropriate practices. The student will learn about predictable patterns of growth and development that children share,
each in their own individual way. Developmentally appropriate practice means that the adult responds to each unique child
in a way that best enhances that child’s growth and development. An adult who knows what to expect from most children, and
what to expect from a particular child, can interact with that child in a way that moves the child toward reaching his or
her potentials.
